He said "The only real danger would be from nic but you would have to have a huge amount of Vape to make a difference. As long as the top has a lid an the sump is covered it should be fine. The amount of vapor getting at the surface is very minor. Long term exposure might be a different story if the filtration can't keep up. Again you would have to have a lot of vapor to make a real difference. I've seen tanks in smoked out bars that did fine. I would think it wouldn't be a big deal as long as everything is covered."
Asked about the Phos, said he didnt have a problem with that.

FWIW, a smikker taking in room air might be a lot worse than through the tank top.

The main base ingredients would be like organic carbon dosing.

There is also nicotine, and aside from any specific efectts (which I doubt have been studied), it adds some N, but not a lot.

I doubt there is any significant contribution to P from vape smoke.

That will bring in the vapor a lot faster, and most of the vapor entering it will likely stay in the water.

Very true, what would you recommend? Maybe a line that goes into the skimmer from outside? Fresh air to it?

I do not know if vapor smoke is a concern, but definitely a line outside will reduce the concern a lot. It may also help raise pH. :)
