Here we go again ! ! !

So, here we are . . . Again, like an old salty Seadog thats been chained up onshore for a few years only smelling the salt wafting and willowing across the land - finally free and back on the open sea in a broken and beaten craft - Holy Cow ! ! Here we go again ! !

new to the site and wanted to start a build thread - they are usually quite fun for everyone involved so buckle up and hold on tight as I lurch from one idea to the next and one close disaster to another ! !

Tank stand has been made for over a year now lol, and it has changed size a few times - it started in my imagination as a 78” x 31” x 28” - I then chopped the stand and it now sits at a comfortable 66” x 31” x 29”.

I added a window above where the fish tank is going so k can crack it open and stabilise the ph when I can, Also to cool tank down.
The garage door on the left of that photo is where the sump is going to be housed. Let’s be honest - I know I’m like a super hero but the backs going, the hips are shot to Sh1t and I just don’t enjoy bending down fixing stuff in a gap a bloody fieldmouse would have trouble navigating ! ! It’s NOT FUN ! !. . . So I figured run Pipework through wall - lovely big space problem solved - clever little bugger me is lol

Pics of the insulation and raised platform for the sump in the garage, had to construct a studwork wall to separate the cold garage and make a warm or warmer area for the sump. Ordered this for the sump -

Didn’t really want a glass tank out there plus it’s heavy, I know in the states you lot love your acrylic tanks and sumps - it’s not for us British lads lol.
here’s some pics of the Tank Stand, I have built all my own stands over the years, severely over engineered but that’s the way I like them lol. Built out of 4 x 2’s. DISCLAIMER - ( yes I know you lot say 2by4’s ) but we don’t lol

As you can see - very useful piece of furniture. Mrs has made good use of it and it’s been Christmas’i’fied ! ! But the good news is Tank has now been ordered and is on a 10 - 12 week lead. So expecting it beginning of Feb 2023.

ATB normal size Skimmer -
ATB Kalk Stirrer -
Deltec e-flow 16 - ( either return or for closed loop -
Mp40qd - for nice flow, will need another bit further down the line.

Well thought out - why yes, because the Mrs thought she was getting a dining room when infact she’s got a fish room with a dining table in it lol.
