heres a stupid question on mated pair.....

I have a pair of fales percs. 1 died a few years ago so I bough a new smaller one for the larger one. They do everything together and seem too look like a "married" couple. Would this mean they are a "mated" pair?

Mated pair means have laid eggs. You have a bonded pair.

How old do they need to be to lay eggs? Mine are about 4 yrs old.

Males about 9 months females about 2 years
