Hello! Fist I want to say thanks for a very informative forum!
Now to my problem, I got a hitchhiker crab with my LR that I want to remove from the tank.
Im currently trying to use the glasstrap were you lean a glass at the LR with some bait in the bottom.
The trap works great, I catch a crab every night, the problem is that its my hermitcrab and not my stone/groilla hitchhikercrab.
Im looking for some advice for a faster way of removing the crab. Ive heard that squirting really hot water into the hole in the LR were he is hiding could draw him out?
Thanks for any advice!

Welcome to R2R!

You'll always catch every other critter in your tank before the one thing you actually want to catch :) If you know what rock it is in, you can pull that rock out and flush it with seltzer water. That should drive it out. If not, you can keep trying with the trap. Move whatever you catch to your sump until you catch the desired crab.
