This is my brand new feather duster (he's one on the right) and Snape, my largest hermit crab. Snape appears to have an appetite for feather dusters. Is this going to be a problem?

I think it's actually a dead feather duster attached to the live one and I'm hopeful that snape is just snacking on the dead tissue. Does anyone know if this is a problem and if so if there's anything I can do about it other than removing one or the other of them. I've already buried the feather duster and he dug it up.

Crabs are opportunistic, regardless of what the internet tells you. At the end of the day, they have claws, and they’re going to do whatever they want with said claws.
