i have some questions,i want to give me some details about yours systems,please inform me

1.first what are your lights?watt?kelvin?brand?photoperiod?distance from bulb and water surface,distance form surface and anemone rock?e.t.c
2.are you all have refugium/or use carbon additive(like vodka,pellets) in order to keep nitrates zero?
3.is any of you that have no3 more than 5 for long time without any problem?
4.are you using any additive like iodine,potassium,iron or something else?
5.what parameters are you tetsing?
6.all of you have salinity 35?
7.what are your water parameters?

Not any of those guys but I've kept ritteris for years. Here are my answers:

1. Currently about 12" under a 10 bulb powermodule, have kept under 250 and 400 W MH. Generally, high light, high flow.
2. I've run a fuge on all my systems. Don't run pellets on this tank and haven't in past with ritteris
3. yup
4. usually just lugol's/some other iodine supplement. Used kalk for ca in past, currently 2 part and kalk
5. ca/alk/mg/no3/po4
6. 1.025
7. within normal parameters, though my p04 and no3 tend to run a little high due to excessive feeding
8. mixed corals
9. i've kept bubbletips with success
10. don't feed directly
11. nope
12. nope.

i think that some guys have ritteris for years like Ron Popeil!!!Twiggyb(Twiggyb's anemone was having a very nice recovery),Maximus,Schnute has an monster anemone,i look forward to learning whether and what it feeds and all the above

my nitrates have ranged from 0 to 20. To be honest, I'm pretty lazy and check my parameters very infrequently. The key to ritteris and giganteas is getting a healthy specimen imo. I've kept ritteris dating back to 1996. I've had 5 specimens, with 4 living (1 died within a couple weeks, probably the nicest one...blue base with yellow tent). My current one is 8 years old.

thanks for the compliments on the tank. I need to take a video soon. Actually just replaced my ritteri with a gigantea (first one I've tried in about 7 years). Hoping it does well.

NHREASM

1.Aqua Illumination Sol Blue LED's, 75watt (100%) watt?14k-16k (hard to tell) 10 hrs photoperiod, light is 14" from water surface, Anemone is 4" from surface of water and is attached to the side of the glass aquarium.

2.No NO3 pellets, no refugium or vodka/carbon dosing.

3. No detecable NO3

4. I use 1 drop of lugols Iodine 1x/week

5. I regularily test CA (430ppm), MG (1400ppm), and KH (10)

PO4: none detecable
temperature: 79 F
ph: 8.4
KH: 10
CA: 430
MG: 1400

8. I have a mixed sps tank with many small clams and a few lps. The tank is devoted to keep the sps corals and clams – the magnifica anemone, by default thrives in this enviornment.

9. I also house (3) RBTA's in this aquarium.

10. I feed a silverside 2x a week. I remove the head and all of the fins from the silverside prior to feeding.

11. No quarantine at this time.

12. Never used antibiotics on any animal for my aquariums.

1. over my 24" x 24" 60 gallon cube, i used to run a single 400w radium with two 24w actinic+ T5 supplements. I ran the halide for 10 hours, the T5s for close to 14 hours. the entire fixture hung approximately 10 inches off my water. the anemones are about 4 inches below the waters surface just off from the center of the aquarium.

i currently have two Sols about 10 inches over my system as of last week, the day light setting is running at about 40% right now, but over the next month and a half i will raise this to 100%, along with the other royal blue and blue settings.

in a separate system, i have a magnifica under a single 175w running a 20k ushio lamp.this lamp is 6 inches above water, with the anemone at the water line.

2. in my 60 gallon, i do not have any refugium, biopellets or dosing. even with three large anemones, some heavy feeding and large fish....i do not ever have nitrates above 0.

3. in my garage system, i probably have nitrates between 0 and 5. i havent tested in months. i have a 40 gallon refugium, and biopellets. i also dump a tremendous amount of food into this system.

4. i maintain magnesium in both systems and occasionally dose potassium and strontium with infrequency and non specific amounts.

5. salinity, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, phosphates, nitrates, temperature

6. i keep my salinity at 1.025, which i believe is 35

8. my systems are clownfish/anemone devoted. however my 60 gallon is also highly sps devoted as well.

9. the only anemones that seem to have problems with heteractis magnifica is carpet anemones. i do not do well with them. sebaes, quadricolors tend to do just fine.

10. i feel infrequently, usually raw prawns from the grocery store. every few weeks.

11. i do not quarantine, but have experienced the negative effects of taking in risky specimens with otherwise healthy magnificas. will most likely attempt quarantine proceedures of some sort going forward.

12. no antibiotics used, but have a list going of ones i would like to experiment with.

Thanks! Yeah this particular anemone has been in captivity for years. this lady who lives in the area and has a 10,000 or 5,000g tank(or something like that) had it for a really long time then gave it to Maximus and then I ended up getting it from him last year. It even took a trip into one of my power heads and survived. Right now I have a semi-snowflake and a false perc hosting it. I think eventually I will buy a premium snowflake to join the semi but we'll see.

This nem will kind of be the center point of my new build
