This is my new holy grail anemone! Is anyone able to source this color combo these days?
There is no sourcing these. Luck most of the time. I got him at Petco. Initial pictures below:
At Petco. Notice the sick purple base Magnifica across the tank.

That's genuinely probably the most beautiful anemone I've ever seen

What does everyone on here feel is the best "terrain" for a mag ? flat rock in open area up high ? crest round rock that is on a pedestal ? I'm putting up a tank now..want to know what kind of rocks , and how to scape to make it mag friendly...

Magnifica anemones need a flat rock. If the light and current are questionable, then the flat surface need to be away from the wall and not an easy pathway down (like a pedestal). If there are plenty of light and current, the Magnifica will be happy and won't move anywhere if the water condition is good.
They like a flat surface with plenty of light, circulation with good stable water.
My beautiful anemone above took out my GRAF Bonsai and a big chunk of ASD Rainbow and Bali Green slimmer. Have to frag and clear what still living out of the way. He was not at the highest of the reef but not moving due to optimal condition.

Is this mag still alive?

No I lost it during the pandemic. Too busy to look after the tank so it went down hill. So sad.
The best anemone I ever have

I am saddened to hear this. I remember when you first got it too. Hopefully you will find something similar one day.

Just sharing mine. Not the greatest pics though. I have 2 that I’ve had for almost 2 1/2 yrs and have tripled in size since. One with a purplish reddish base with greenish tentacles and one that’s mostly just brownish in color. Also have a blue tip Gig in the same tank

Notice my Green Bali Slimmer in the two pictures below. Casualty in this process of getting the healthy Magnifica in this particular case.

Does any body here keep fish with carpet anemones? I'm thinking about putting my two in 210 display tank. There tangs, anthais, couple of dwarf angels. I would put the two mated clowns with them. Worried about losing fish to the nems. The reason is I just can't keep corals alive anymore. A toadstool leather have hardly no polyp extension. SPS is a lost cause.
