Hi!

my name is Nick and I’m new here. I’m 31 and live in northern Michigan. I’ve been in the reef hobby since 2010. I had a freshwater tank as a kid and then a painted turtle tank with cichlids.

I was first introduced into reef tanks in 2010 when I went to visit a buddy at NMU. My friend had a nano as well as like 6 guys on his dorm floor. I spent most my time stoned staring at the fish tank for a majority of my time there. I was completely hooked. A couple months later that friend left NMU and moved in with me and we started a 30G high.

Since that time I have learned, failed, succeeded, cried, swore, and spent lots of money. I am hoping to spend some time here sharing my failures and hopefully sharing my successes with my new tank. I will be making a build thread if you care to check that out. Really looking forward to talking to someone other than my partner about reefing (she might be looking forward to that more than me).
