Hey,

I'm from Sydney.
Been wanting to set up a mixed reef tank for many years and it's finally happening.

I've ordered a Waterbox 100.3 (300L)
and collected so far:

x2 Radion G5 XR30's
x2 AI Nero 5 wavemakers
Vectra M1 return pump
Qantum Nyos 160 skimmer

I was fortunate that a friend shut his tank down so I bought a lot of equipment, hence the overkill gear.

Can anyone pls recommend a good chiller?

I will be making a build thread, and very excited to keep learning ;Bookworm

Cheers

Welcome to R2R. #WelcometoR2R

No advice on a chiller. After going to LEDs years ago, simply air conditioning the room keeps the tank at a stable 78F.

Welcome to the fishy family! Even with my sump in my garage in Florida, I have never needed a chiller ... rarely even needed a heater in my DT. There are some Aussie reefers on here that can jump in headfirst with you.
If we can be of help as you go through the growing pains, let us know.

Welcome!

My chiller is an Arctica I bought second hand. I need to get it serviced before we get too much further in April/May. Its not always turning on but right now TX heat is okay. If A/C ever goes out here in Texas USA May-September could result in tank wipeout so IMO chillers are essential. I have a generator for fish tank in case whole house lost power.
