I just set up a 120g about a week ago and the overflow return is foaming like crazy in the sump. I’ve tried upsizing the pipe to compensate flow and cut back on the return pump to 50%. I’ll try to post a video, not very tech savvy so bare with me lol
I would recomend starting a build thread. A good way to get help and track progress. Not to mention you get a shiny new badge.

Welcome to the community Caleb, glad to have you!
I'm not sure about the overflow issue, is it at the bottom or in the overflow itself? If it's at the bottom, then the issue could be excessive air bubbles getting trapped on the way down, foaming up at the bottom. I would check in the overflow box to see how far underwater the drain pipe is.
Good luck and God bless!

Name is Caleb. Been in the hobby about a year now and could really use some friendly advice! Just started my second tank.
