It probably isnt going to have a very big impact as long as you keep up with water changes. A little acid in the water will do more good than harm. Are you injecting them?
*Welcome to Reef2Reef,Mikie!* Your tank is coming along nicely! I would suggest you keep track of your water parameters on a regular basis. This will give you idea on how much you may need to start dosing. The brain corals will benefit from occasional feeding, usually at night or early morning is best. They seem to be placed a little too close together in your picture. It is a possibility that they will sting each other if they are different varieties. As far as aptastia control goes,I have had good success with the product Aptastia-X from Red Sea.I have also used kalkwasser paste with good results.
Thank you. Im good on the aiptasia. Lucked up with 2 berghia nudi's on some liverock from florida. They have wiped out the aiptasia. I need more to keep them alive. The lfs people looked at me crazy when i asked for some. I have moved the brain corals and i think everything looks happy. Even found some fire coral in there last night. Still finding new stuff everyday. Here are some new pics of the tank. The second pic is the one with the fire coral. Its just to the left of the base of the gorgonian.
