Finally decided to take the plunge and delve into the world of a reef forum. I have been documenting my journey on a cpl social media sites but this is my first forum adventure. I have been in the hobby for 2 and a half years and have been bewildered at times, yet determined to learn all I can, even if I hadn't taken into account the fact that I can now nearly speak Latin I know the names of so many fish .
My reefing journey began with a visit to the lfs to buy food for our turtles (wifes turtles)... I left with a full reef tank set up, skimmer n all for £50.... tank, heater, wavemaker (powerhead) and even had crushed coral substrate included. The problem???? It was a 30 litre tank and by the time all the hob equipment was in there, 2 clownfish would have struggled to turn around. Lesson 1 learned, now on lesson 1736 and counting.
Glad to finally be a part of this community also. Cheers and happy reefing, Doc! ❤
