Aquapod 24 Running 6 years, and a new Reefer 170 going up. Lurked quite a while, joining the discussion now.

Current challenge is setting this tank up for long periods away. We spend 3-4 days a week in summer at our lake place (I have an obsession with water), APEX on I guess...

Welcome to R2R. hey we have the Amway center here in central Florida

I would suggest besides the Apex , and ATO, dosing pumps, and possible auto water change if you are think full blown reef.

Welcome! Do you recommend any shops up there? I go somewhat often to see family. Also as others have said, look around on here. Someone else has had the same idea and acted as an automation Guiana pig for you.

I have an ATO (not the gravity model that came with the 170) but an aqualifter and float controls with redundancy.

Blue Fish Aquarium, Bosh's Reef, Water Colors Aquarium Gallery are probably the best for salt. PM me if you come up. I am in Ada/Cascade/Forest Hills area, I will buy a beer and cruise fish shops with you.

I am loving it already on my current tank. I set it up for testing purposes. Though I bought it used and the circuit breaker busted into pieces in shipping :( Taking an EB8 apart and soldering new parts on is no picnic. But 2.50 from Mouser and I was in like flint.
