hello Im Robert i been in the reefing world for bout 4 years now set up lot of tanks but never done a full blown sps dom tank. I have some experiences with acros they grew well till now algae killed it. My fault for allowing it to happen. I want to take it to the next level I never done anything bigger than 56g which is what i have now and my next tanks will be know as the triple tanks. meaning will have two 20g long and 40g in the middles all three tanks will be on the same stand sharing the same sump. the 20g will be the frag or grow out tank n the 40g will be the display. I know i will upgrade to my dream tank which will be 125 rimless tank with the floating led hovering over the tank. it will happen couple years later. Algae scrubber will be acted as the main filtrations and i will add protein skimmer if it needed. as for the light i will get the diy led kit from reefledlight.com i just like their kits better. i just want ur advice on what equipments are needed to have in order to have great growth success in the sps dom tank. ps pardon my english writing skilled I am ashamed b/c i just graduated from college:squigglemouth:. Thanks

not to mention i will have pukni rocks in the 40g and live sand in the 40 but not the 20gs just dont see the need to take up space n worrying bout falling off the rock with the frag plug will use egg crate to hold all the frag plugs in the growout tank

Stable water parameters (calcium-alkalinity-salinity), quality skimmer (Vertex IN80 would be my choice for a 40 breeder) and quality lighting (T5-MH -full spectrum LED).

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?
