Hi, just found the Chattanooga Reef Club forum. Great timing with the frag swap next weekend, I'll be there. My name is Tony and I live in Ringgold.

I've been out of the hobby for about 15 years and just jumped back in June of this year with a BC14. It's my son's fault :) he brought home the tank and now he's off to UGA again and leaving me with it but I'm not complaining. We got him a BC8 to set up at school.

Tank is softie/lps, added Nanotuners light upgrade and K Nano powerhead. Some of the other "standard" BC mods.

Looking for a couple of things at the swap if anyone has;

Kryptonight candy cane
Bergia Nudibranch
Mean green zoas

Even though I'm not a Chatt person, welcome back to the hobby! A lot has changed in 15 years, and stuff you couldn't keep alive back then is now possible. I was out for about that long until about 2003 or so.

Dave

Thanks for the welcome Dave! I'm amazed by the changes. Doesn't appear to be any cheaper :) but a lot of great new things. Biggest (and best in my opinion) change is all the fragging that's going on. Great that everyone can get what they want without taking so much off the natural reefs. I'm a diver too

Welcome to R2R!! I am from Ringgold as well! :D

My sister in law is off to UGA as well.

Welcome! I am also a ringgold man. Look for some of us at the swap!

Should this be the North Georgia Reef Club? Glad to see a lot of Ringgold people participating, look forward to meeting some of you next week.

welcome, glad to see you around.... lots of good local stores here too :)

Hope this isn't a bad topic but since you mention it..... What LFS do you guys prefer? So far I've been buying from Bermuda Triangle on East Brainerd. Impressed with how they're doing frag tanks but then again I'm easily impressed. I've been in the one on Ringgold Road (Fish Mania?) too but haven't purchased anything there.

5th day is a great store with good people. If you are looking for sps you should talk to locals like me and bkv we have more sps than stores and lower prices.

Welcome, I just started back keeping a reef tank last year. Yes, many things have changed, think it's more money now than back in the late 80s early 90s.

Where is 5th day? I could just look it up but this seemed easier :)

Appreciate the offer on SPS and will keep in mind but probably going to stay with LPS and softies at least for now. We'll see how this cube works out but I'm guessing another large tank will come along somewhere in the future and then I might be looking at SPS. The all in one thing is sort of nice but I'm only dealing with around 12 +/- gallons of water. Want to be real cautious knowing how quickly parameters can change in this little bit of water.

5th day is on mac smith rd across from cracker barrel. On the sps I was just letting you know where to find certain things around the area I wouldnt suggest trying to keep the calcium up in a nano full of sps lol.

WELCOME Tony to the forums. best of luck on your tank. =D

i hear 5th day does more fragging than the other guys... and they are alot cooler to, and the cashier is super duper smart

lol that's funny Alex...smart...lol

For the best frags in town... just come to my house :)

I also have the kryptonight candy cane and green means you are looking for.
