I have a 29 gallon that has been set up for about 1.5 years now. It currently has a Blue Demsel, a Black Saddleback Clownfish and a Bicoloured Dottyback. I also have 4 or 5 Hermit crabs and a couple snails.
For the corals, there is a Leather Hand (Which is starting to get pretty big), and a few button polyps.
The tank has pretty much taken care of its self. I do 15-20% water changes weekly and vacuum the crushed coral bed from time to time. I top off with RO water daily.
Everything I have in the tank is fairly easy to take care of, but I have been looking at some more difficult corals which will require a little more attention that what I have been use to.
When I was getting the tank up and running, I would test the water quite a bit. Once the tank was established, It was basically just a weekly maintenance and I never really tested again.
I tested the water parameters last night and these were my readings:
PH= 8
Ammonia = 0
Nitrate = 25
Salinity = 1.025
Calcium = 300
Phosphates = 0 (After doing the test, the color was so faint. I had nothing to compare it do when referencing the chart in the kit. I also thought having high Nitrates would = high Phosphates)
KH = 8
Temp = 77-78 degrees depending weather the lights are on or not.
The lighting is 2 Par 38 LED 54 W Bulbs about 18 inches above the tank.
Is there anything alarming here?
