Been lurking for a while, about to build out my first Reef Tank so thought I'd join and start posting.

I live in Bellevue, WA and I work in the Video Game Industry as a Software Engineer/Architect. I'm brand spanking new to the hobby - I guess I'm not even technically started yet since the tank doesn't show up until Thursday - but I'm hoping it will be an interesting adventure and one my young kids enjoy experiencing as they get older.

Welcome to Reef2Reef! I'm in a similar situation, I have a 30 gal FOWLR and am in the very early stages of planning an upgrade. There is so much helpful information on here (I lurked around for a couple of years before joining) as I'm sure you know. I'm enjoying being more involved. I hope you start a build thread. I'll follow it for sure!

Welcome to R2R!!!

Welcome to R2R and for finally coming out of the shadows;) Nice to meet another Washingtonian on here, I’m up in Kirkland not to far from ya. Looking forward to seeing how your build turns out. What kind of tank are you getting?

Welcome to R2R and the salty world. Lots of knowledgable and helpful people here who will support and advise you when needed. I’m sure your kids will love the journey with you.

Welcome to R2R! I started my first freshwater tank when my kids were 3 years old. I have always at at least one tank in operation since then (and as many as four). It has been a great experience, and continues to be for my grandchildren now. I look forward to your reefing adventure! ;Joyful
