Hi! Just dropping in to say hi! I have two tanks, a 5 gallon freshwater shrimp tank and a 2.5-gallon pico reef tank that's been cycling for about a month and half now! Any advice from other pico tanks would be great! Super excited to stock it!! :)

Welcome to R2R! There are bunches of people who know their stuff here, who are ready to help. I think you’ll really enjoy it here. I have a larger system, a 90 gallon cube. There are quite a few here who have nanos and picos though.

Welcome and a BIG HOWDY from your Grand Prairie neighbor! Glad you joined. Tonight I just setup two pico tanks myself - those new Deskmate AIOs - I'm going to grow aiptasia in them (NOT KIDDING) and start Berghia's in one of the two tanks (see, now you know I'm not crazy lol).

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

Welcome to the reef! My only advice is have fun! My 5 gallon ran great for two years almost completely hands free. Make sure your levels are stable especially in a smaller tank like you have.
