Hi guys, I have a 45 gallon bowfront.. 4 months old. Mixed reef- LPS no SPS.
MY ALK KEEPS RISING.. my ph is low. I dose with balance when it hits 7.8 but my alk is currently 10.4, ph 8.0 (ph is 8.0 because I dosed.) My lfs who really does know what he's talking about said balance can raise the alkalinity. I'm using Hanna testers. My Phosphate is also undetectable- why????!
Nitrate- 2 with Nyos and API reads about 8. ?
Nitrite- 0
ammonia - 0
mag and calcium were good -can't remember the numbers right now.

I have a small fan above the tank. Even open the bottom doors to the sump at night. There is plenty of flow- I'd actually be happier with LESS- my bubble coral is retracted but it's the only one that's visibly upset.- and it could be because the goby has thrown sand at him. Any suggestions?!
