I would search the sale thread here from hobbiest and try to find someone who has some of these and maybe they can cut them. Some of the prices from stores are absolutely insane compared to hobbiest.

What is a high end Acropora?

Prices are crazy when one is looking to purchase a named tenuis or other Acropora with a unique color morph. It is a bit funny (not in a mean spirited way mind you) to ask where to buy when the source was listed. Basically you are looking for a hobbyist who has a side hustle and undercutting the source of origin.

As mentioned, forum trade area, FB, ebay, are also possibilities. Just be aware that you may, or may not, be getting the real deal. If I was in your shoes I would be just looking around at Acropora tenuis frags and see what catches my eye and ignore the name unless it is something that you really, really, want. And then you would just pay the price.

Good luck on your journey.

This is the best way to put it!
Forget the names and outrageous prices. Just find something you like in a price range you are good with. Years ago I was able to get the discarded frag plugs from my "reef mentor" he would have just tossed them out other wise. They grew (most of them) really well and I was able to frag and sell many. I would not put even close to what some were asking on them, I could not stomach that kind of pricing. Really only reason I fragged them was because they grew so well. I was not looking to make a profit off of a coral, I just like how they looked and could not condone just throwing out a living animal.

I HAD a TSA BubbleYum, it recently rtn'd (my fault). I got it for $400 about a year ago. (I'll dm you from where, I think he can sell you one). But, I was not a fan and was super happy I didn't pay $1200+ for mine. Colors are VERY underwhelming, and there are much much much nicer tenuis for a lot less. Those TSA photo's are edited/doctored fairly heavily imo.

Check Thirstysreef. If you can wait 3 months you can get a good deal. Full disclosure, I haven't purchased from him but the reviews I found were good. The tenuis prices are rock bottom.
I’ve purchased from him before. While the frags aren’t as big as you’ll get from sellers here, they are healthy. I’ll be placing another order soon. There’s a 30% off sale going on right now so now is the time!

Thirstyreef and TCK are the two sources I recommend when people want to buy something from me and I am sold out.
