Such a shame to hear, is the tank still running?

It may be due to the bacteria in your water being unstable.

tank is still running yes the tiger torch is still alive so keeping it running will probs use it for a holding tank for fish too make sure they are doing ok healthwise ect

how would a madagascar flasher wrasse do in my tank btw
Honestly, those guys want a 6’ tank that’s high and even then when they gain size they can look cramped. Hemi’s are a flasher I’d say you do need a 6’x2’x30” at the minimum if not an 8’x2’x30”.

Most other flashers will do well in a 4’x2’x18” tank.

and how often do they put there fins up like this

They generally do that when showing dominance to other wrasses with similar body shapes. The downside is they lose a lot of colour and can become rather dark in captivity whereas photos you see are when they just come out of the deep waters in the wild.
