Hey guys so I have a Red Sea Reefer 250. I tested the parameters and they can back as follows:
Alk 8.6

Nitrate 50

Phosphate 0.1

Calcium 425

Mag 1300

PH 8.0

Salinity 1.025

Temp 78

My nitrates came back high so I was thinking I can do a 20 gallon water change every 3 days until it comes down. What do you guys think? Is there a better way to do it.

How do your corals look? Nitrates of 50 are fine for softies and most LPS
So I went to the LFS to test out my water and they told me it came back 0 nitrate . I used two test different test: Salifert and API and got 50+ nitrate . The LFS use API to test. Thinking of going to another LFS.

Also my “ tester” SPS coral is turning brown idk why

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
