I've had this coral in my tank for 7 or 8 months. It had great polyp extension when it came in but that is all gone. It is still the bright green color. I have no idea if it needs high or low flow or high or low light. I can't believe it is still alive, but it hasn't grown a lick since I put it in the tank. Other than loosing its polyps it hasn't changed at all.

Anyone have any recommendations?

That thing is wicked looking. Looks more like it could be a branching montipora

Was it super fuzzy when you got it ?
Looks like a hydnophora coral with no fuzzies
It’s not an acro I belive

Let’s ask our friends. #reefsquad for an Id please.

You nailed it! Just looked at a picture and that is exactly what it looked like when I got it. Maybe now I can figure out care requirements.

When it started losing it's polyps I moved it down. Looks like that was the wrong move. I know just the place with high light and high flow I can move it to. On the to do list for tomorrow.

Thanks @saltyfilmfolks ! You rock!

I honestly don’t know the Light requirements of those things.
What I'm seeing is all high light, high flow. Not sure how you recognized it from the pic I posted!

I keep a lot of weird stuff in my head.
Creepy sometimes.
Wanted to reach out and thank you for your amazing ability to ID this coral. I've got it in a very high light, high flow location.

The change? I'd call it positive!
