Hirata - 50G Reef Tan

Hi Folks. I hope everyone are doing well.
My name is Bruno Hirata from São Paulo Brazil.

This is my very first post here, I hope that I could share good information with you all.

I'm planning to build a 50 Gallons tank, something like 30"x20"x20". It will be hanging in the wall by a structure based on steel.

Equipment already bought:
Pump: EHEIM 3000 L/H
Skimmer: Bubble magus A5
Wavemaker. Aqamai KPM
Heater: 250 W EHEIM.
Lights: (AI Hydra 52HD) - Now - 2 x AI Hydra 26HD

Things that I need to buy.
Glass Tank, I just will proceed once the structure was in place because it will be custom made.
Substrate TBD (I am looking for Hawaiian Black)
Rocks: TBD
Control system: APEX or AQUARINO (Brazilian system that is more flexible than APEX)
Water Filter

Bellow, you can see the project of the structure that must be delivered up to 15 days.

In parallel, I started the construction of the base that will support the Glass in naval grade plywood.

And coating it with carbon fiber..

Thank you 4 your welcome.

Yeah. I'm sure.
The project was made by an architect that issued a responsibility letter.
The wall is made of concrete and the project should hold 2 tons (4400 lb) of weight.
I think that the tank will weight something like 700 lb.

No.
I haven't the equipment required to do a good job mainly to weld in the correct angles so I contracted a blacksmith (I don't know if it is the correct word) to do everything.

I received the structure this weekend.
I'll send it to the paint job this week.
I guess that in 15 days it will be installed.

Hi all!

The project delayed due a herniated disc, but no major problems.

Everything is ok, however I forgot some concrete anchor bolts, so I will finish it just next week.

Hi all.

Today I started build the power box.

Red outlet to heater.
Blue to the cooling system.
Black to extra items such as lights, power heads, etc
Gray to skimmer
Yellow to return pump and any other thing. This outlets will be plugged into an UPS.

The Tank arrived, next week I'll start the system.

The carbon fiber idea was not discarded, probably I will use a pluggable overlay approach.

That's definitly good flow for sure. Depends on what coral you plan on keeping.
