So when I bought my live rock a long while back in April and had put it in my aquarium, I had noticed a small creature a few hours later once the sandbed settled down. I saw him that night (and that night only) until a few minutes ago. He has been missing for a couple of months. He appears to be the size of a standard paper clip (about 1 inch) and has a tube that he extends really far (might be his radula/mouth?). He also has a shell. I have come to the conclusion that he is a columbellid snail, but I am not 100% certain and would like any input I could get. I have two photos below:

Front view (please ignore turbo snails). In this picture, his extended mouth/radula seems to be around the length of the diameter of a quarter.

I apologize for the poor camera quality

Hope this was clear enough,

Brad

I'd say Conch. A small one at that. They do tend to bury themselves in the sand and one that small could easily not be seen for a long time hiding in the rockwork.

Hmm good to know...I did put a fighting conch in there waaay back but I thought I saw him dead on the sand bed...he must have pulled through. Thanks all!
