Hitchhiker on snail

This critter arrived on back of snail, has been in tank for some time. Doesn't seem to be bothering anyone, but curious as to what it is and to validate it is harmless or wont grow into being problem. appears to me multiple tube like growths from common base.

Maybe vermatid snails? If so, I think there are differing opinions on them.

I had one come in on a snail just like this. I left it be and it became an awful infestation. They are truly a terrible thing to have in a reef tank. They irritate coral and will spread all over.

Think that's what most people would say. But I've seen some folks who don't mind them. 🤷‍♂️

Edit: For me personally I'd remove them.
