Found a great deal on a water box peninsula mini 15 from a cool local guy who was moving out.
have always had love for nanos because that’s how I started and I wanted to do a small anemone tank with a cool rock scape to enjoy.
brought it home, did a DEEP cleaning, and got it set up.
came with an AI prime, and an upgraded sicce pump.
since purchase I have added a few of my own things I liked from googling.
bought a 3dreefing diffuser for the prime as I like the ones over my large tank.
I purchased a second apex to fit into my multiple apex systems.
added an old JBJ ATO I had laying around and found a neat little jug reservoir to hide behind the basket.
inside the basket I have all my wires/controllers etc for easy access and is semi hidden out in the open
in the back I have multiple inTank parts, first two being the baffle cover and filter pad holder, which I found out holds a gutted “bio-bag” that I can find at any pet store on the cheap, and then added my own carbon to it, all water has to pass through to get back. Next to it I cut a small slot in the inTank baffle for my ATO spigot. I also have the “skimmer” which works somewhat but is great for controlling water level in the front display.
In chamber 2 I have the inTank refugium basket with all baffles removed but the bottom-most. This houses my small chaeto ball and my apex probes. Above I glued a JBJ nano-glo and a no name pink/red light in hopes it will help grow my chaeto.
in the return section I have the sicce pump, my float valve and a heater all ran through apex.
tank was setup august 20 and after leveling out I added a reefcleaner cuc crew. 1 emerald included.
rockscape was made and epoxied/glued in my garage while I was testing for leaks.
today a local reefer was getting out of the game and was looking for a home for 2 clowns and a coral banded shrimp, so I drove the hour to get them, and assured him that they’re getting their very own condo, they will be the only fish.
from here I am going to be on the look out for cool and unique anemones and see where it goes! Thanks for checking it out
