Ho many AI Sol Blue do I need?

I am working on a new 24x24x24 SPS dominated build. How many AI Sol Blues do I need? Should I go with another brand instead?

I highly disagree with this. Over a 24" x 24" tank if you use the default optics you'll have to raise it so high you'll have light spilling all over the place. You'd be better off with a Radion or 2 of the small AI's spread out.

AI recommends 1 fixture per 12", I think it could go 18" max. I ran 2 over my 36" x 30".

2 will work, but don't be surprised if you are disappointed in the very flat and icy color spectrum you get out of the fixtures. For the price of 2 sol blues and controller, you are saving money on a single radion and you get MUCH more for your money from that fixture.

I would go with 2 they have an optimum spread of 18 inches at a good SPS height. 1 use 3 on my 48x18x24

They state that it will do a 24x24, but I found that is good for Zoas, LPS and softies but would recommend 2 for SPS.
