Ok... So first off, apologies for the horrendous paint drawing...
I have an Eshopps HOB Overflow box that I am working on installing that I picked up from the original owner of the tank.
It uses a bent tube for the vacuum. He superglued a hose in the highest point of the tube and used a water lifter to ensure vacuum held when power was lost and came back on etc.
I did NOT note which direction he had the thing plumbed....
Do I want the water lifter to SUCK the potential air out of the top of the tube? Or do I want it to drip water into the top of the tube.....
Red line below is where the hose is basically glued....
