I have an Aquamaxx 1.5 HOB protein skimmer on a 50 gallon tank. Have about 55lbs of live rock. I recently added a bunch of pods (I have no sump/fuge) directly into my tank so that I can prepare to get a mandarin goby. I left my HOB protein skimmer off for a few days now. If I turn it on, will it pull out my pods?

I've looked online for hours trying to find info. Only info I have found pertains to in sump skimmers and where the fuge is set up. Whether it's before or after. So I'm curious if anyone who has a HOB skimmer may know.
