How about my designer, professional grade trash can? I mean ATO reservoir? With spray painted cardboard to keep junk out? I mean bespoke lid?

Now that's what I'm talking about!

When I replaced my old Coralife T5 fixture (that had legs) with a new hanging LED fixture, it caused a problem. Since the LEDs have spillage of light, the U-tube of the HOB overflow gets algae growing in it. Over time that algae grows enough to slow down the flow through the U-tube, causing the water in the display to rise. My 'go to fix' is duct tape, (which can fix anything!). I put duct tape over the top of the tube to prevent light from hitting the U-tube. Problem solved!

Perfect idea!
My algae scrubber drives me nuts and lights up the whole room.
I'd love to run it 24/7.
Any ideas to try for that besides spray paint?

These can be just silly little things maybe you still do that don't cost an arm and a leg.
Or maybe some invention you just can't reef without.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
