I had this Hoek for over 10 months and all it had done is encrust a lil on the left and covered a bare spot on the tip. Is anybody else having the same growth rate with theirs?
Anybody out there experiencing better growth? If so, what lighting do you use?

Ive had one for about 5 months and am experiencing the same growth issue. It has encrusted a good amount but have had very little if any vertical growth. No problems with the rest of my SPS.

try fraging about a half inch from the top..a lot of times this will trigger the coral to generate another axial corallite which should jump start new growth.

Hmmm. I'm thinking, maybe I should and document the growth rate for this species. I fragged my cali tort for my buddies and it grew out like 10 incipient corallites from one tip. thansk for the suggestion
