Hole in tricanda clam

So i’ve had this tricanda for a few months now and today i just noticed that theres a small hole near its foot. The clam seems to be doing well though.

I don't know what is the hole, but I see no white shell growth on the clam, that is a concern to me.

That looks like a crocea? Crocea is a rock boring clam, it should be on a rock, at the top of the tank, crocea likes more light than any other clam.

The only rock it has is under the sand
