I’ve had my homewrecker for about 2 months, and it started off gorgeous with great PE right away. Over the past 2 months I have noticed slight encrusting of the plug, slight loss of coloration which is expected, and eventually, loss of PE completely. All of my other acropora are doing well with great PE and growth, so my thoughts are trying to move it and seeing if it improves.

parameters:
Nitrates: 19.1
Phosphates: 0.07
Alk: 8.4
Calcium: 435
Mag: 1353
Salinity: 1.026
Temp: 77-78

Coral is currently under 250 par with high, random flow.

any help is greatly appreciated!

Other than moving it to a slightly higher PAR area (275+), all your other parameters seem fine. My SPS all seem to do best in the 250+ PAR range (I also run calcium between 450-475ppm and magnesium between 1425-1450ppm).

Yeah I have a few other acros such as my Walt Disney that’s doing great, so I’m thinking moving it is the best option. Thanks

I had a master yoda sps that did the same exact thing, my parameters along with yours seemed fine, I let it go to see what would happen..after a couple of months it came right back and is growing like crazy

From my experience, many Tenuis seem to like a little less/average sps par. That hasn’t been the case with Homewrecker. Mine seems to love 400 or more.

Hoping for this same response from my homewrecker, it was super happy right away for a few weeks before declining like this. Hoping it adjusts and improves

Yeah I actually recently increased my PAR to get around 275-300. Hoping to see some good results
