Lousy photo, but a really cool blasto I got from Reef Lounge USA yesterday. Purple center leads to yellow ring to green ring to purple fringe.

The brains of this operation are finally finished being setup, I would love to see other “control centers”. Feel free to show me your setup. The big empty space is for the Trident, whenever they get around to releasing it.

Just a quick product update:
So I went with the synergy overflow on this build. I was having trouble tuning it to the dead silent operation, probably because I choose to run a ball valve instead of the gate valve they suggested. I got it close, with some advice of some R2R users, but it was still a bit loud. I had reached out to synergy and they did the best they could via email. Then after rooting around the R2R forums I found the solution was enkamat. This overflow is now dead silent. Kudos to the people on this forum for all their insight. And thank you to synergy for their quick and friendly service. Just a suggestion, but maybe include the enkamat with the product as it seems to be a little forgiving in terms of finding just the right balance.

@TheReefAddict Awesome! Yes enkamat will work in some cases. It may be something we start to carry pre-cut to fit for people who choose to use it. It's not always needed so it wouldn't be something added to every overflow, but that option would be good. Thanks for the honest feedback and also for tagging me in this so I could respond!

So it been awhile since I’ve last updated my thread. Overall the tank is doing great. I’ve lost a couple of corals in the transition to the new tank. Most likely due to my own impatience, but nonetheless it was a pretty seemless transfer front the old tank to the new. I would like to share a couple of photos from my purchases today at RAP. Not the best photos. I’d like to give props to Eric from the sand bar, sandbarpet.com. Always super generous with his time, just a stand up LFS owner. Honest, laid back and a pleasure to deal with.

Mark,
They sell it on AQUACAVE.COM. Just type enkamat into the search bar. Stuff works great. It quieted the shadow, I used the leftover around my drain pipe in the sump, and in between baffles to minimize micro bubbles.

So it’s been awhile seen I’ve done an update. Tank is doing really good. I have added a bunch of coral. The only set back was a nitrate spike when I let the cheto go unchecked for months on end. It grew into a cheto brick. I’ve got everything ready back under control. I wanted to do a quick update and talk about a new relationship intend on building with @BSA Corals. I’ve never bought coral online. And doing so there is a lot of apprehension. Sending a stranger a lot of money is a little nerve racking for me. We’ve been chatting via text for a few days and he’s made feel comfortable enough to pull the trigger. I wanted a blasto garden and then some. I gave him a a price point and he sent me four pics of some beautiful blastos. He told me if we have a deal then he would throw in some “freebies”. Im hoping this turns into a long lasting relationship. His blastos are some of best I’ve seen. I’m also looking forward to see my surprises. I’ll update when I get the shipment in.
