Is there a easier way to set a feed timer for 2 minutes at the top of every hour between a set time (0800 - 1800)?

Looking at the TUNZE hub I do not see an easy way to correlate a fast pulse schedule for 2 minutes while my auto feeder is running. I need the high flow to spread the food around as the fish wised up and know my feeding pattern. I could position the auto feeder in the sump over the return intake but prefer not to. Tends to dirty it up over time.

Wasn't sure if the Hub allowed copy, paste or if there is a global event or feed timer that can be set. If not seems like a nice feature to have.

Thanks for any tips or suggestions.

I may have figured this out. Set up a quick test at the top of the hour.

I clicked on the clock icon and it brought up an "Alarms" window. I then clicked on the + / clock icon and it allowed me to set a time, duration, and in the slot had a pull down with a list I could select from. I selected the storm mode which should do the trick. Interesting enough in that window I can add more so assuming I did this correctly it should allow me to do hourly within the time frame I want and not after.

Not elegant, but functional.

Is there a limit on the Alarms? It allowed three (per device?) but not able to add anymore.

I need some time to look into this, there are some options to set schedules and events and this will increase in the winter when the app launches in the US. I just got back from RAP CA and I will need a bit of time to catch up and dig into this.

While I was not personally at RAP I hope we, Californian's, treated you well.

With regards to this no rush. I think I have something working with the current events on both pumps. I would prefer a couple more time slots but with the testing I'm doing now seems to work well. I'm going to move the plank feeder down to the sump in front of the return intake which should help distribute it a bit more before the 6105's kick in. I just do not like food in front of the intake as I feel it increases the cleaning cycles needed.

Thank you for the response. Let me work with this for now and I'll circle back when the app becomes available. I would have assumed both web portal and app to be the same functionality wise but maybe not.

So, I can't find a specific foodtimer scheduling option but there was an update that may allow you to do what you want with a small amount of work, I saw this in the News feed on Tunze-Hub, you would have to push the button or manually activate it but if you set one pump you can set all.

Features

Food Timer

  • The new "Timer" tab allows you to choose via a menu whether pressing the food timer button also sends a signal to other devices via the cloud.
    "Local" affects only this controller.
"Global" sends the button press to all devices via the cloud.
  • The food timer can now be set shorter for each individual device.

  • The default food timer duration can be set in the profile.
The app will be more sophisticated, it has to be, it will be needed to program the ORCA which coordinates the angle the pump is at with the flow rate as it oscillates and it is a lot to program and long term, the app will be home to a lot of testing equipment and a lot of scheduling and chemistry tracking possibilities. I did find another possibility but it is tedious, you can set a daily schedule and set it with multiple periods of some minutes with the pump off, it is not necessarily a foodtimer, but with just setting multiple sections and dragging out times and setting speeds, it looked like I could set at least 8 10 minute off periods for a pump, I only made 2 though as it was definitely tedious, it is just done as a flow schedule with off periods in the day.

Thank you for looking into it. I appreciate it. What I ended up doing for now, which appears to be working pretty well, is to use whatever this feature is called that opens by selecting the clock icon (alarms or events?). Once that is open I can add up to 3 settings on each pump. I am alternating 4 hour blocks on each and this gives me 6 time slots that I can fire off the storm mode (100% fast pulse).

I am actually pretty happy with this so far.
