I recently bought an auto feeder for my APEX. I have a couple Tunze 6075s that I like a lot and I generally prefer the Tunze HUB for control. Does anybody have any ideas besides killing the pump’s power on the energy bar to stop them if I do a feed cycle on the APEX?

No help I just wonder why people turn flow off during feeding. I can understand shutting down a return so food doesn't go down the over flow but I love having the food blow all over when I feed. My feed tube dumps right in front of an MP40 and it blows all around the tank so all the fish have an opportunity to feed from little damsels to large tangs. I used to turn flow off but the big fish got most of the food and the little fish only got scraps.

Not sure if you ever got an answer to this but I create a virtual outlet called FEEDMODE and it’s activated by a button box switch or by the Apex auto feeder output. This turns off the powerheads for 10 minutes. I don’t turn off my main pump but it can be programmed either way.

I read the OP's post as a way to hit a feed mode, on either the Tunze Hub controller or on the Apex, and have both pause or do something such as off or reduce speeds. For a timed delay. It sounded like they wanted to initiate it via the Tunze HUB.

If that is indeed the case the answer is no. As @rtparty noted above Tunze and Apex do not talk. They could if Tunze wanted to spend the time and use Neptune's IOTA stack but they do not. My last exchange with them said it would be a challenge. Who knows - but they don't. Kessil, Sicce, few others have done it so it is possible. Just depends on the underlying hardware so to speak.

Brute force way would be to plug the Tunze power heads into a EB832 port for power. If available and have the Neptune feed mode power off the ports. It would be basic on, off, for X amount of time. I do this for water changes since they are higher in the display and I don't want them splashing water around. I have another for maintenance, cleaning.

Beyond that there is no communication between the two as noted above.

You can just connect the pump to the Apex and use analog mode, you need this cable- https://www.fish-street.com/apex-co...l-box-kessli-aquatic-life-reef-octopus-icecap

The main caveat, 1V is off, 0V is revert to manual mode, it assumes you backed up your pump but not your controller so for the pump to keep running it goes back to being independent. Otherwise the voltage range for speeds is 3.2-6.6V. You can fine tune control voltages in Tunze HUB as well and up to 10V will just be the same 100% but it is best to stay within the control range.

So this is one way. The other being plug the powerhead into the EB832 port and configure a feed mode to turn the switch on, off. The apex would control, trigger this.

In the example you provided above who controls or initiates the feed mode?

Thank you btw - I was not aware of the cable option.
