Came back from the weekend, and things are DEFINITELY on the mend!

Top half of the frag almost is fully covered in tissue again, and it's got a great color on it too! Plus we're getting really good polyp extension!

It's Tuesday, and man am I happy I didn't go surgeon on the coral last Monday! The coral is healing itself really well, and pretty dang fast too!

I'd say a testament to @Battlecorals and their time tested aqua-culturing! If this was just a random frag...I feel it would have been lost long ago!

Nice looks like it's making a comeback. I'm actually impressed that you're growing acros in such a small tank.
PC Rainbow is one of the faster growers for me so I'm interested to see if this messes with your alk/ca/mg consumption and if you're able to keep it growing.

Great job!

Thanks! I appreciate it, and always welcome a challenge!

I'm going to keep up not every 7 days with a little 1 gallon water change as to not upset the balance of the tank. I'm also playing with the idea of down the road as the sps take hold, possibly dosing something like All For Reef, to make sure the corals have what they need to thrive and grow.

Like I said earlier, I know some people thing it's a bit crazy for me to be growing SPS in this tank, especially without texting, no skimmer, etc, but so far it's working, and I'm excited to see how long I can keep it going or!

I'll continue to keep everyone updated here (I promise no more pictures until Friday!)

We're continuing to get better and better week over week! Body is almost entirely covered back in tissue, minus that on branch sticking off on the front.

Lets go!

Almost FULLY healed! Solid top down shot that's a real color picture!

That is always a sign of a good healthy tank. I've said it before but there's a huge difference between" growing and recovering" and simply "not dying" and you are very much in the former category. Very nice to see.

Thanks Adam! As un orthodox as my methods might be, I'm trying to keep a good healthy tank over here, and clearly it's working!

Can't wait to see all your SPS really take shape in here. The Fox Flame is encrusting like a champ, and throwing out lots of new yellow polyps on the base, and the Poison Envy is showing some of those blue growth tips too! And that Blue tort...just a beast!

So it's been just over a week, and the healing process is continuing! There's one small patch that hasn't covered up with new tissue yet, but I"m sure that it will (on the under neath side). Aside from that, i've noticed that it's starting to encrust on the super glue from where I mounted the frag, there are new polyps showing, and the new tissue green is starting to turn back to the red color.

Very happy with how "quickly" this frag has turned around! I credit some of it to my tank being good and stable, and the other part to Adam @Battlecorals having time tested bulletproof corals!

I think this will be my last update to this thread....maybe a 1 year update next year...

Decided to move the PC Rainbow a little bit. Now that it's fully healed, I realized it was a little too close to the Rainbow Pocillopora, and figured as they both keep growing the might grow into each other faster than i'd like. I kept it in the same place, but just moved it over about 1" (which in this nano is a lot) so they both have some more breathing room, and give me a little more time before I have to frag them as they get bigger.

There was also one part that was on the bottom of the frag that hadn't covered back over in tissue as some algae had grown on it. I took my bone cutters and was able to take that off, made a new epoxy ball, and replanted it back in the tank (so the current encrusting on the base of the current frag would NOT be covered.

Came into the office today and everything looks great!

It's been quite the trip over the last month...

Who am I kidding...how am I going to wait a month on this!

PC Rainbow continues to kick butt! It's loving its new spot, and is encrusting on its base now, and starting to get back the reddish coloring!

We're rocking and rolling over here! Here's a nice progression shot from November 7, 2023 - January 18th, 2024.

As you can see in the picture, it's starting to get the reddish color back in the main branch, and it's also putting out a good base on the epoxy plug too (which you can see in the picture.

Overall it's thickened up nicely, and you can see it's also probably doubled the amount of polyps...and they all look nice and happy!

Thanks for looking! And once again a shoutout to Adam @Battlecorals for providing really hardy corals!

50 Day Update: PC Rainbow is continuing to do really well. It's continuing to lay down a nice base, and the tip has 4-5 new coralites that look ready to branch out, and the little branch in the foreground is about to take off vertically too!

We've come quite a way from that September day when I thought all might be lost!

41 Day Update: Lots of growth over the last 40 days! The tip that was showing signs of growth really took off, those little nubs turned into 3 bigger tips, with 3 others still forming. I"ve got another big one coming off of the one side branch, and the base is starting to sprout tips too. I'm very impressed with this guy as he came back from near death, and is thriving!

@Battlecorals

This picture shows 41 days of growth (Bottom: March 7 / Top: April 16)
