How deep should I bury my frogspawn?

Wondering if I should bury him past his skeleton? That cone shaped skeleton is exposed at night when he closes. Should I bury him further? He is happy, extends always, and accepts food.

I would say leave in current location. (That is sight unseen based on what said) if he opens fully and accepts food he's happy. Don't
