if you want to show the actual colors you need to white balance your camera...A filter will help some, but isnt as good. Shooting under white light is good enough for most people since most aquariums arent deep for the water to absorb certain wavelengths, but white balance would still be better.

If your goal is to shoot fluoresence, things are different though.
