How do I get rid of dinoflagellates?

I have a bunch of dinoflagellates in my tank that is growing all over my corals, rocks, and glass. I really need help to get rid of it. Does any have know how I could get rid of them?

I’m not sure which is worse: You finding a bad Dino outbreak in your tank or your wife finding pictures from your girlfriend.

It depends on type of dinos. A microscope will help with that part. One type is possibly easily fixed with UV. The other is very very difficult to beat.

Fixing dinos is a deep and dark rabbit hole. The first step is ID. Look up Ostreopsis vs Amphidinium.

If your tank is new I would think about adding biodiversity- My battle finally turned after adding ocean direct sand and removing some old along with PNS pro bio (algaebarn), plus manual removal.

Nice. This was the case of Amphidinium that you mentioned? At what dosage/frequency did you use the PNS ProBio?

I also dosed phyto and added pods. I threw the kitchen sink at it, if that didnt work I was going to shut down the tank. I battled about 4-5 months.
