Do you just throw food in there and hope for the best or do you obtain from feeding?

1) how do you know when/if he is awake? (normal daylight hours via internal fish clock?)

2) light will invariably get in during the feeding? Is some natural light for a few minutes fine?

I’ve never done a blackout. However I’ve not fed my fish for many days at a time and they were fine. How long is the blackout?

If you’re doing a total blackout (tank wrapped so no light gets in), don’t feed them. I’ve done 3 day blackouts without feeding and the fish have been fine.

Went 81 hours black out (didn't work) and broad cast fed two of the days frozen.

I think over 8 billion years fish have adapted to smell food and eat in near darkness.

You can always turn on one of these new inventions. Its becoming quite the craze in both NYC and LA

Feed as normal BUT do not add coral food such as reef roids or NoPox which fuel for dino.
