How do you tell if urchin is dead?

Hi

Mine tuxedo urchin was doing well for 6 months.
It stopped moving last few days.

I still see some spines that are soft, a lot have fallen off. The teeth are out and don’t move.

Pic attached. Just leave it alone? I don’t want to remove it prematurely but I don’t want it to spike the tank either.

Usually when spines fall off they're gone. Sorry to say yours doesn't look alive.

I see the soft spines(tube feet?) moving around. It has not eaten that I know of. It is also not wearing gear like it
usually does. Ok, will see how it goes...
