I have a few high end shrooms I would like trade/sell. My question is, what steps should I take to make sure I don't get scammed while trading? How am I supposed to do that? This is my berserker and magic carpet. The mushrooms in question.

My best advice is to

1) if you are doing this online make sure to get clear unedited pictures with whites on. I've been to a lot of shows and stuff and the way something looks under super blue lights and/or in a picture does not equal how it will look in your tank. Do not trust a name.

2)make sure you are dealing with someone with a reputable history.

There's no substitute for dealing in person. I know alot of reefers have no other option, but since I'm fortunate enough to have reputable dealers, I'm not paying for something I can't see in person. If you can't then do everything in your power to vet whoever your dealing with.

There's a lot of action on Facebook marketplace in my area. Your best bet is to just buy and sell. It's not going to look the same in your tank for awhile if ever... Check out reputable LFS in your area as well. I'll happily drive 3 hours to neighboring cities. Usually they get them from coral farms and your chances are a lot lower of picking up something that you don't want in your tank vs. getting something from Joe Blow. I would never get something off of another reefer unless I personally knew them.
