How I Fixed My AI Nero 5 Controller

I’m just making this post to share how I fixed it, in case someone is looking for a solution as I was.

I was having an issue with my AI Nero controller where the plug had to be wigged to get it to power on. Upon further inspection it appeared that the barrel jack for power was very lose. I popped off the back cover and saw that it was very poorly soldered on (See Image 1 & 2).

With my very “professional” soldering skills, I was able to solder the 4 contact points back onto the board. (See last image). I am happy to report she now works like a charm.
