I’m curious what others are seeing for lifespan on these lights. I just noticed that I have some diodes (blue) out on one of my 100w Gen 1 lights. I had been having trouble w both of them this summer too (lights would inexplicably start
Switching to different light settings on their own ala strobe effect). My lights are just over 3.5 yrs old and have about 17,000 hrs on them. I thought they’d last longer…

My 100w is only a year old so I've no comment, but bumping for more comments

I’m going in 2 years at roughly 8 hours a day.

No lights are out and no issues as far as settings changing etc.

Overall the gen 1 light was amazing and grew everything. So I literally just bought 2 more gen 2’s

I had a Nicrew Gen 1 150W which lasted for a year and a half then completely stopped working. Downgraded over to a Gen 1 100W which has been running for 9 months now but I will be switching over to a Gen 2 100W later this month. I have an SPS dominant nano.

Only real negatives I could find from Gen 1 was cheap power supplies and they remedied that with much better supplies for the Gen 2

How are you liking the gen 2s?

I saw you in another thread saying you picked some up if I remember correctly?

I picked one up to test out and use on a new build. New build is still 2-3 months out sadly

Outside of the fans being louder than I think they should be, the light is a total steal for the price.
