How long is too long for Nitrite cycle?

I'm the old days, when a cycle stalled, we added some macro algae to the aquarium. Snake oil? I don't know.
I dont think its snake oil, it makes sense. Just like @Miami Reef is saying add something with other bacteria on it. Macro algae from another tank or the ocean or where ever will have other bacteria on it and it will also use ammonia, nitrite or nitrate. So it makes perfect sense.

@cet98 Like I said I used the exact same products you are. Dry rock, dry sand, microbacter xlm, and their ammonia product. Add something with phosphate into the tank, I used ReefRoids that is known to contain a lot of phosphate, on my roughly 120g of actual water I added 1/8 tsp worth. Each time I did this I saw an almost immediate drop in the nitrite concentration. By almost immediate I mean with in 24hrs. The first time I added it the nitrite went from 5ppm to 3ish. It then sat at 3 for 2 days and I added the 1/8tsp again. Again it dropped to somewhere in the 1-2ppm range. I added another "dose" and it went to 0. Nitrates were barely 10ppm on a Hannah. I redosed ammonia to 2ppm and within 24hrs ammonia was 0 nitrites were 0 and nitrates were near 15-20ppm. I added my first fish and turned the lights on low. About 2 days later I got a diatom bloom which to me at that point you are 100% cycled. I started adding my corals that weekend, some cuc, and some macros to my fuge.
