how many 3w LEDs on a 40B?

I am in the process of setting up a 40 breeder an I'd like to run all LEDs. My question is how many of the Cree 3w LEDs would I need to grow sps an have no really shaded spots? 36x18x16 are the dimensions of the tank. Thanks for your time. (:
