How many lights

Going to replace my light, my tank is 30” wide and 18”deep, looking at AI Prime 16 hd reef, stats say it covers. 24” , i messaged brs they say it needs 2 lights, is that a sales pitch or can i get by with one

Depends on what you are keeping. If low light corals, like zoas, shrooms, and softies, 1 light may be enough. I would go with 2 for LPS and easy SPS. I might even move up to 3 if keeping acros.

If you have corals, you probably want to get 2 to avoid any dark sections in your tank.
