I'm currently building a 75g tank.

I'm in the process of building a canopy for it.

I will have 2 Viparspectra reef lights on it and am thinking about putting some t5's on both sides of the viparspectra.

My question is how many T5's should be used?

My current plan is just to put one bulb on either side of the viparspectra lights. Will this be enough or is it better to have 2 T5's on either side?

Also what bulb should I go with. My tank will be mostly LPS/Softies with a few SPS sprinkled about but not to many.

Thanks

Two on each side would be ideal and would allow you to grow anything. However, a 75 gallon tank has just an 18” front to back depth. Getting a pair of T5 bulbs and reflectors on either side of your ViparSpectra LED fixture in a canopy for a 75 gallon will be quite a tight squeeze.

That said, based on your coral selection, a single bulb on either side of your LED fixture would be fine.

I figured it would be tight.

I'll go with one on each side of the viparspectra.

Thanks
